We have teams that compete in the Junior Premier League,
The Mid Lincs Leagues and the Newark Youth Leagues

Preparations are now being arranged for the 2008/2009 season. Any player interested in joining us next season needs to fill in the application form. simple click on the gold badge on the left and complete the on line form. You will then receive details of the trials once they have been confirmed. The club is also looking for managers at all age groups, from Under 18's to Under 6's. Again any interested coaches or managers can fill in the on line form.
Where else locally do you have the chance to be involved with a Development Standard club, that is playing in the FA Youth Cup and competing in the Junior Premier League, where it's players get the chance to play regularly in a fantastic stadium also where the club has proved it's commitment
to the youth by recently selecting 3 youth players to play in a friendly for the first team including our Under 15's goalkeeper.

Club History

The youth set up was originally formed in 2002 separate to the main football club. However in 2006 the Main club reallocated the franchise for of the youth teams and Created a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee. The new youth set up consisted of three teams. The club is committed to quality not quantity - after all these players will need to be available for selection for the first team. Our job in the youth set up is to prepare them for that. All our teams compete at the highest possible standard. The Under 14’s and Under 9’s compete in the Mid Lincs Youth Leagues.

From Under 7’s to the First team

Our aim at Grantham Town is to take quality youth players from under 7’s right through to the academy where they could be selected for the first team. We believe in coaching and testing our players to the highest possible standard. All our teams play either in the Mid Lincs League; which is widely regarded as one the strongest and most competitive youth league in the country; This season the Under 18’s will play in the Rigeons Youth League North Division

Football is an sport than need youth players and Grantham Town is no exception; local players increase crowd sizes. The exceptional players will always get noticed. Whilst we have very good squads at Grantham Town, there will always be a player with that something special who will get noticed and the bigger clubs will always want them for their squads - that's football. Professional and semi professional Clubs will always look at the next standard below them first, which is the Conference Youth Leagues and the County Leagues. In the County League they first look at the teams top of the A Division. All of our youth teams are at the top of the A divisions. A player will always have a good chance of being noticed at Grantham and rather than shy away from these clubs, we take our players to them. Last September we went to play against Middlesbrough F.C. and formed good links with them. They were very impressed with our team and display and will be keeping a keen eye on several of our players

Trials

Throughout the summer the club will be running trials for players to attend giving them the opportunity to show they can represent Grantham Town Youth Football. Managers will also be required to scout for players of the age group they are managing whilst following FA rules on these matters.
