The Mid Lincs Leagues and the Newark Youth Leagues

Preparations are now being arranged for the 2008/2009 season. Any player interested in joining us next season needs to fill in the application form. simple click on the gold badge on the left and complete the on line form. You will then receive details of the trials once they have been confirmed. The club is also looking for managers at all age groups, from Under 18's to Under 6's. Again any interested coaches or managers can fill in the on line form.
Where else locally do you have the chance to be involved with a Development Standard club, that is playing in the FA Youth Cup and competing in the Junior Premier League, where it's players get the chance to play regularly in a fantastic stadium also where the club has proved it's commitment
to the youth by recently selecting 3 youth players to play in a friendly for the first team including our Under 15's goalkeeper.

The tournament will be held at the Mere’s Stadium. Grantham

After playing in and running many events we believe we have the perfect formula for you to enjoyable and excellent day out and play against quality teams in a fantastic stadium. The tournament will use the mini soccer rules, so no confusion over areas, offside’s, throw ins or corners, just standard mini soccer rules. We plan to have the group stages then all teams go through to the knock out stages. I am sure you have been to many tournaments where only the top team in the group goes through, leaving with you the manager the difficult choice of team selections or missing out on the finals by goal difference, we take the attitude that yes you want to win, but lets play the group stages in a friendly attitude giving all players the chance to play. Teams from Under 7’s to Under 11’s will play 7-a-side, from 12’s onwards it will be 6-a-side but still with mini soccer rules, squads can have 12 players.

We will have 6 pitches two in the stadium, all semi finals and final will be in the stadium and it is hoped that you will also get to play some of your group games in the stadium also. We will be running boys and girls groups.

Initially this will be by invitation only, subject to numbers. Please download the entry form and email back to us at manager@granthamtown.co.uk . We understand the financial difficulties when entering tournament and you getting the money from players or your club. Please feel free to enter on line we will then inform you nearer the time when payment is required, please note whilst completing the on line form you will be asked your affiliation number, once you enter you will be liable for the entry costs, failure to do so will result in the matter being reported to your county FA. The Entry fee is £25 per team.
