Grantham Town 2 v 2 Louth Old Boys
Top of the table Grantham Under 16’s took on 2nd placed Louth Old Boys and it was the visitors that took the lead, when the Old Boys striker lobbed Jack Drury in Grantham goal. This gave Grantham the wake up call and were soon level when Ben Blakes corner was slotted home by Ben Murgatroyd for his first goal of the season. Grantham continued to dominate and Ricky North’s inch perfect pass found Ollie Clark who chipped the Keeper. In the closing stages Louth poured forward and put Grantham under a lot of pressure. Jack Drury produced a string of excellent saves to keep his team in the lead. Louths pressure did pay of for them when a corner was cruelly turn in by a Grantham player for a own goal. The young Gingerbreads did have chance near the end to reclaim the lead, but they just couldn’t get the ball in. The game finished 2-2
