Preparations are now being arranged for the 2008/2009 season. Any player interested in joining us next season needs to fill in the application form. simple click on the gold badge on the left and complete the on line form. You will then receive details of the trials once they have been confirmed. The club is also looking for managers at all age groups, from Under 18's to Under 6's. Again any interested coaches or managers can fill in the on line form.
Where else locally do you have the chance to be involved with a Development Standard club, that is playing in the FA Youth Cup and competing in the Junior Premier League, where it's players get the chance to play regularly in a fantastic stadium also where the club has proved it's commitment
to the youth by recently selecting 3 youth players to play in a friendly for the first team including our Under 15's goalkeeper.

Grantham Town 5 v 1 Retford

Both teams gave all in the early exchanges and Grantham went close when Callum Bell’s shot skimmed the bar. Town’s early pressure paid off when Henry Pickers shot was to hot for the Retford keeper to hold on to and Ricky North was on hand to slot the ball home. Grantham continued to cut Retford open and was rewarded with a 2^nd goal before the break when Shaun Rice’s corner was headed home by Ryan Broxholme.

The 2^nd half saw Grantham continue to dominate and Ollie Clark, Ryan Spencer and Shaun Rice all went close. The front pairing of Clark and Picker combined for the 3^rd Town goal as Henry Picker rounded the keeper and passed the ball into an empty net. Retford got a goal back but Ricky North dented their hopes of a come back when ran onto a Shaun Rice through ball and then he smashed a goal from 25 yards. Grantham ensure the victory when a Jack Drury goal kick found Ryan Broxholme, he flicked the ball over the defence then smashed the ball home from 20 yards.
