Nettleham 2 - 1 Grantham Town
The away side had two thirds of the possession but could not find the cutting edge to break down a packed defence.
Grantham started slowly and found themselves a goal down after 2 minutes, not clearing a ball from their box a home striker got there first to poke home the opening goal.Grantham did wake up and played some very good football, going close to an equaliser on a couple of occasions. Daniel Moulds saw a fierce strike hit the post but this was just a sighter as minutes later he unleashed a volley from the half way line that flew under the crossbar for a brilliant equaliser. Minutes before the break the Gingerbreads again hesitated in their own goalmouth and the home side restored their lead off the post. The visitors controlled the second half completely but could not find a way to break down an extremely hardworking team desperate to hang on to the points. Grantham's Man of the Match was Joshua Kelham who passed well and matched the home player's determination and work rate.
