Windy conditions spoilt what could have been a good game against a recently improved Greenbank side.
With the wind at their backs Grantham applied early pressure and were rewarded when another excellent Will Barron corner was headed home by Euan Dolby. The Gingerbreads continued to control possession but found a resolute defence in their way. One of the visitors few forays forward resulted in an equaliser when a long shot found its way over the line.
A brilliant run and finish by Alex Dempster restored the slender advantage which, playing against the wind in the second half, was never going to be enough.
So it proved as Greenbank used the wind to better effect and half way through the half equalised with a good angled drive from the left edge of the penalty area.
With two minutes to go the visitors had a couple of corners, but Euan Dolby broke from the edge of his own area and ran the length of the pitch where he crossed to Will Barron, up in support, to slot home the decisive goal.
Man of the Match was Euan Dolby who covered every blade of grass
