Metheringham 1 v 6 Grantham Town
Grantham progressed in the cup, against their lower league opponents, despite a woeful first half performance. The hosts started brightly, working hard, whilst Grantham were enjoying the autumn sunshine. On ten minutes the home side took advantage of Grantham's dithering and opened the scoring with a well taken goal. Metheringham sensed an upset and rattled the crossbar, still Grantham did not wake and it took the equaliser, a great long range free kick from Ben Browne, to rouse them. Just before half time more good work from Ben Browne allowed Frazer Wingad to stab home. After the break, the Gingerbreads were brighter and following a good cross from Will Barron, Frazer Wingad was on hand to prod home. Frazer then turned provider as Joseph Lote fired in his first for the club. Alex Dempster then claimed a brace to highlight the visitor's domination of the second half
