Last year's league winners, Grantham, travelled to runners up Nettleham expecting a very hard game and so it proved.
Both teams started well and had half chances to score; The home teams quick strikers were kept at bay well by Daniel Moulds and Josh Kelham and when a shot did come in Joseph Hoskins did well parrying the ball on to the bar and claiming the rebound.
Good work from Josh Kelham and Ben Browne allowed Ben to step inside and send an unstoppable shot into the top corner to give the visitors the lead. Just before the break 'Keeper Joseph Hoskins preserved that lead with a good save at his far post.
The second half continued in the same manner with both sides playing good football, but not allowing each other clear cut chances.
With 8 minutes left Joseph Lote beat his man on the right and found Ben Browne who finished with aplomb.
Straight from the restart Alex Dempster and Euan Dolby combined, with the latter scoring, to put a gloss on a hard fought but desered away win.
Man of the match was Josh Kelham for an excellent display both in defence and midfield
