Good Hands

Both teams had made an unbeaten start to the season and remain so after a pulsating game.

The home side took a very early lead when a shot out of nowhere dipped under the bar. The game was then end to end though neither team created clear cut opportunities.

However, in the 15th minute the Gingerbreads equalised when Euan Dolby headed home a Joseph Lote corner.

The second half continued in the same vein with only half chances being created by both sides, Josh Kelham shot narrowly wide and Joseph Lote had a volley well held.

Grantham took the lead, again from a corner, Ben Browne curling one in direct.

The visitors didn't seem in trouble, restricting the hosts to long range shots, until 10 minutes from the end when a corner was not cleared and stabbed home for the equaliser.

Both teams had long range efforts to try to snatch a win but in end a draw was probably a fair result.

Grantham's Man of the Match was 'Keeper Joseph Hoskins with some very assured handling.
