Where else locally do you have the chance to be involved with a Development Standard club, that is playing in the FA Youth Cup and competing in the Junior Premier League, where it's players get the chance to play regularly in a fantastic stadium also where the club has proved it's commitment
to the youth by recently selecting 3 youth players to play in a friendly for the first team including our Under 15's goalkeeper.
Why would anyone who is seriously interested in football want to go anywhere else ?

Grantham 3 v 0 Sleaford

Grantham eventually came out on top in this local derby.

Despite the windy conditions both teams tried to play good football but the ball seemed to be constantly out of play. There were very few first half chances as the game was battled out in midfield, although Euan Dolby did strike a post.

Any attacks by the home side were very well dealt with by Josh Kelham and the excellent Daniel Moulds.

The second half continued in the same vein, though good runs by Ben Browne and Will Barron were putting the hosts under more pressure.

Eventually the goal came; Euan Dolby, released from midfield by Joseph Lote, sent a dipping volley into the far corner. The same player then doubled the lead when put through by Dan Moulds.

A very neat step inside his man, by Josh Kelham, and a good through ball put in Alex Dempster who finished well to make it comfortable in the end for the league leaders.

Not a classic, but a good display all round considering the conditions.

Man of the Match was Daniel Moulds for a very assured defensive display.
