Preparations are now being arranged for the 2008/2009 season. Any player interested in joining us next season needs to fill in the application form. simple click on the gold badge on the left and complete the on line form. You will then receive details of the trials once they have been confirmed. The club is also looking for managers at all age groups, from Under 18's to Under 6's. Again any interested coaches or managers can fill in the on line form.
Where else locally do you have the chance to be involved with a Development Standard club, that is playing in the FA Youth Cup and competing in the Junior Premier League, where it's players get the chance to play regularly in a fantastic stadium also where the club has proved it's commitment
to the youth by recently selecting 3 youth players to play in a friendly for the first team including our Under 15's goalkeeper.
Why would anyone who is seriously interested in football want to go anywhere else ?

Clean Sheet
This game was the first time we had played this side and we did so without our still injured captain, Eleanor Pike. It took us the whole of the first half to work out the other side. They were pretty much all chasing the ball which made it difficult to tell where they were playing and who to pick up. Hannah Dunderdale came on in the first half and her combative style shook them up a bit. Lottie Bates came on for Jessie Leigh Slater and Madelaine Woollford moved to the left midfield. We scored early in the second half from Abbie Weatherstone, who shortly scored a second with Akvile Gerbenyte scoring the third to put the game out of reach. Hannah Dunderdale was awarded Player-of-the match for her enthusiastic efforts. The Lincoln team only really had one forward player who looked a threat and she used her hands to control the ball rather too often! I had to ask the coach and his other colleagues to refrain from walking onto the pitch in order to better instruct their players numerous times. Four coaches - no wonder they had no organisation! Well done to all, another good result and a clean sheet too!

Beaten by leaders
This was the same score as the previous cup match against this opposition. We lost our Captain Eleanor Pike to a nasty knee ligament injury late in the first half. We had come close to scoring but were finding it difficult to break down their defence and the keeper was having a good game. This was not good knowing the prowess of this team - in scoring terms. Jessie Slater came back on for Eleanor after being subbed earlier, and slotted into the right back position after we had conceded the five goals, swapping places with Lottie Bates who moved out to left midfield. Jessie put in a really good show by snapping at ankles and doubling up on the attacking players - this won her the Player-of-the-match award. Poppy Hallam saved a penalty in the first half and Akvile Gerbenyte scored one as a consolation late in the game.
